Tiffany Ann Pierce Schatz

There are things that happen in life that you could think would ruin your life.
But it's probably not as likely as you think. Preparation makes a big difference with how we encounter these devastating and serious life events, which are bound to happen in one form or another at some point—or multiple points—in our lives. How we choose to respond to them can make the critical difference in moving forward ‘unruined’.
In her talks, through poignant, relatable, humorous stories,
Dr. Tiffany shares keys of how to fireproof your life for the inevitable 'life-ruining', potentially catastrophic real life events that tend to interrupt even the best laid plans.
Geared toward students and young professionals, Dr. Tiffany connects with audiences to confront the tensions between ambition, living the good life, and managing the unexpected in order to help them to develop greater resilience and thrive.

About Tiffany
Dr. Tiffany grew up outside Philadelphia in Kennett Square, PA (the famed mushroom capitol of the world!) and earned her undergraduate degree with high honors at Messiah College. She then attended The Medical School for International Health at Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva, Israel, where she studied medicine as well as cross-cultural medical care, with emphasis on international and resource-poor settings.
Afterwards, she completed residency in general surgery at Waterbury Hospital, and then trained in advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery at Fox Chase Cancer Center, affiliated with Temple University.
Simultaneously, Dr. Tiffany had 3 children, 2 with significant special needs. The tension of significant pressures, obligations, risks, responsibilities, failures, and crises led her to grapple with the most basic questions of "What makes a good life?" and "What makes one happy or successful?" Dr. Tiffany continues to practice thoracic and general surgery in the Philadelphia area, while eager to pass on the life-giving lessons she has earned through challenges and trauma.
